What most people don’t know, is that the story of BARTS started with swimwear 30 years ago, when founder Bart Koene successfully started selling hand-sewn swim shorts on the très chic beaches of Saint-Tropez. In the years after, Bart decided to focus on headwear and the company organically grew out to be the well-known winter accessory brand it is today. In 2019, 26 years after selling swimwear on the Saint Tropez beach, Bart returned to his roots, so to speak, with the launch of his first swimwear collection in 2019.
