A TIMELESS CLASSIC
The flat cap is a soft hat made out of different types of fabric with a short, rounded visor. The flat cap is a true fashion classic that has been around for centuries. They have the unusual characteristic of being able to look vintage and modern at the same time, depending on how they are worn. One thing's for sure: they'll never go out of style. The flat cap originates from the roaring 20's in Northern England where it was called a bonnet. Sturdy flat caps were a part of the working man’s uniform, but finer variants were also considered to be suitable for upper-class Englishmen. Later on, flat caps were also worn by fashionable young men and from there quickly it became standard boys’ wear. In the 1990s the cap got a popularity boost when everyone, from rappers to pop stars, started wearing it as a fashion statement. Nowadays, thanks to multiple hit tv-shows, the flat cap is still on-trend.
